Leveraging social media for small business success is the first in monthly series of articles that will be produced by the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce’s marketing committee as a service to our members and the community.
Small Businesses face unique challenges when it comes to getting noticed, especially online. Even with limited resources small businesses can still succeed online by leveraging social media to reach their target markets. Learn what you can do to quickly, easily, and affordably build your social media presence to help attract new customers while retaining your existing customers. We’ll share best practices being used by large and small companies alike. After this presentation you’ll have a better understanding of how to leverage social media to promote your products and services.
Social media marketing is free – which is great, but being successful as social media marketing takes some time for both planning and execution.
The presentation was created at the request of SCORE Raleigh, one of the chamber’s partners. It was presented on April 17, 2014. It covers some marketing 101 basics, makes a case for why small businesses should be using social media as part of their overall marketing mix, lays out some basic must haves for business websites in 2014, shares the 10 Commandments of Social Media, includes tips for marketing on Facebook and Twitter, and reviews how to measure social media marketing efforts.
