Runners of all ages, from all over the Triangle and beyond come to Fuquay-Varina to compete on our family-friendly, certified 5k & 10K courses! Runners looking for an extra challenge can compete in our 15-Quay Challenge Event by running both the 5K and 10K course back-to-back at their scheduled times. Business and community groups will be set-up before, during, and after the race. Race coordinators are expecting the biggest race yet!

A Fun Run for Kids! This star-studded run is perfect for kids ages 10 and under. Led by the team from WakeMed Children’s and its mascot, Twinkle, this 50-yard and 100-yard run gives younger family members an opportunity to get involved with a dose of healthy fun. Just $10 per child with all the proceeds going to WakeMed Children’s. Dash start time is 9:30 am with pre-dash check-in and activities beginning at 8:15 am. Sign up today!

The Mission Behind Run The Quay
For many years, Run the Quay has been a staple of the Fuquay-Varina community event calendar. What many folks may not know is that RTQ is produced by the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce’s staff & a dedicated volunteer committee and, it is our organization’s largest annual fundraiser! This community event has grown exponentially in size and that growth has helped us continue our efforts in the growing community of Fuquay-Varina.
Our mission and vision are simple, but integral to the Fuquay-Varina business community:
Mission: To build and sustain a vibrant economy through a robust, public/private partnership focused on making Fuquay-Varina a great place to live and do business.
Vision: A sustainable, quality economic and business environment for Fuquay-Varina.
We want you to know that your participation in RTQ directly aids in the execution of our mission! Additionally, each year we conduct an application process and select a Charity Partner for our race. This Charity Partner receives a percentage of the proceeds raised. So, by registering for our race, not only are you supporting the Chamber and its mission, but you are also supporting our local nonprofit partner.
