WELCOME
The Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce welcomes you to our fast-growing, business-friendly community that invites newcomers yet preserves its safe, relaxed, small town appeal. Whether you are a resident, a business owner, or just interested in our area, we encourage you to explore this site to find out more about the unique opportunities available through the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce.
We have two thriving historic downtowns, minutes apart. This allows access to multiple services and products in two distinct shopping environments while maintaining a sense of history dating back over 200 years.
We also anticipate high residential and business growth in our area over the next 5-10 years as a result of 1) the expansion of Fort Bragg, 2) a planned expansion of the Route 401 corridor from Fayetteville to Raleigh, 3) the completion of I-540, 4) the Veridea development project in Apex that will create 30,000 new jobs, and 5) the completion of the Novartis pharmaceutical plant in Holly Springs, which plans to start production of flu vaccines in 2011. For more information about these new opportunities and how they will impact our town, check out The Perfect Storm, by Art Sanders.
Life in Fuquay-Varina offers the advantage of having what you need in close proximity while providing small town charm and an affordable living environment. Family is highly valued, as are neighbors and the serenity of our location. Our forward-looking town and business leaders will continue to plan for growth opportunities for Fuquay-Varina, but the most important aspect of living and working in Fuquay-Varina will always be the charm, warmth, and character of the people who live here.

Fuquay-Varina Chamber Co-hosts First "Breakfast with a Prime" Event Outside of Fayetteville
The Breakfast with a Prime series is one of the most popular events held by the North Carolina Defense Business Association (NCDBA). The event is designed to bring together businesses that currently have federal contracts or those who would like to start working with defense contractors and allow them the opportunity to present, network, and gain a mutual understanding of the benefit from working together and possibly teaming to win additional contracts.
Presented by the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce and the Fuquay-Varina Economic Development Commission, this was the first time this event has been held outside of Fayetteville, and was touted as a huge success. The event was attended by more than 70 defense and local industry representatives. The Prime contractor for the event was USfalcom, which is headquartered in Morrisville and is one of the Triangle's largest defense contractors.
Joy Thrash, executive director of the NCDBA, was excited about the this first remote event. "The Breakfast with a Prime event hosted by USfalcon and held in Fuquay-Varina was a true example of how organizations can come together for a common goal of building the defense industry in North Carolina," she said. "The successful partnering of the the Chamber, the town's economic development team, and NCDBA brought together companies from across the state that are working in the defense industry. These companies are proud of the fact that they are providing products and services that support the military and helping the men and women who protect our country. The Breakfast with the Prime events are networking at its best!"
Chamber Executive Director Tommy Broadwell was also extremely happy with the networking aspect of the event. "The Prime Breakfast was a golden opportunity to invite people in the defense industry from the surrounding area and showcase Fuquay-Varina." James Sauls, director of Fuquay-Varina's economic development office, said "This event is very important to our community and the region because it showcases our defense industry. Fuquay-Varina is perfectly positioned to recruite defense and federal contractors due to the town's close proximity to military bases and research facilities in the Triangle."
