Membership - Membership is open to any working woman whose business/employer is a member in good standing with the F-V Chamber of Commerce or any local Chamber. The annual sponsorship/membership fee is $150 per person. The majority ($100) of the fee is used to sponsor/fund scholarships for promising women who plan to continue their education. Inviting Guests/Potential New Members - Guests may visit twice before deciding to join PWLA. Guest lunch fee is $15/per quarterly meeting. If a member is unable to attend, they may send a representative in their place.
Meeting Times/Place - Meetings include lunch and a non-member guest speaker and are held the third Wednesday of the 1st month of each quarter at 11:30 A.M. - 1 P.M. (January, April, July and October). Currently all meetings are held at Bentwinds Golf & Country Club, 6536 Dornoch Place, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526. The remaining $50 of your sponsorship/membership fee helps cover the luncheon cost and the honorariums given to the speakers. PWLA 2013 Calendar of Events.
Corporate Membership - A business (a Chamber member in good standing) may pay an annual fee of $150 to have a corporate membership in its name. That payment covers one annual PWLA membership. Additional female employees may join for only $100 each. Corporate Brochure
Membership in PWLA allows a different level of community involvement and exposure for your business. Working together, we are able to provide scholarships to area women and make an impact with a modest investment of time and money by our members.

Scholarships - The PWLA offers four scholarships this year. A $1,000 scholarship to a graduating FVHS female student who will be attending a four-year college, a $500 scholarship to a graduating FVHS female student who will be attending a two-year college, a $1,000 Patriotic scholarship to a graduating female Military family member from a public or private high school and will be attending a four-year college and a $500 Patriotic scholarship to a graduating female Military family member from a public or private high school and will be attending a two-year college.
