Join us Memorial Day Weekend 2016 for the Merchant Village that will take place as part of the WRAL Freedom Balloon Fest right here in Fuquay-Varina! The Chamber of Commerce is excited to be a part of this new event in our community, and encourages business owners and managers in every walk of life to find a way to leverage this event over the coming months as we prepare for the 70,000+ visitors that will travel to Fuquay-Varina over the three days of activities.
The Chamber of Commerce will be organizing a “Merchant Village” that will be open for business throughout the festival. Only 100 booth spaces will be available, and we are already accepting applications for those spaces. Any business owner or artisan who has a product to sell can be a participant in the Merchant Village. This is NOT a business expo – participants must have a product to sell to the public.
The cost for the three-day event is $450, and vendors are encouraged to use tents with side flaps for securing inventory during the hours that the festival is closed. For more information about becoming a vendor in the MERCHANT VILLAGE, please go to www.wralfreedomballoonfest.com/merchant-village.html.
The WRAL Freedom Balloon Fest will be an admission-free event dedicated to remembering our fallen military service men and women and honoring our veterans through a celebration of freedom.
When the balloons aren’t flying, you’re invited to enjoy a wide variety of North Carolina-based foods along with NC State Fair inspired foods, as well (40+ different food lines and vendors are planned), take in live local and regional musicians, field games for all ages, the Merchant Village, and more.
Many VOLUNTEERS will be needed for this event. If you can volunteer in any capacity, please go to www.wralfreedomballoonfest.com/volunteer.html and sign up through the WRAL Freedom Balloon Fest’s official website.
