The Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce is pleased to welcome new executive director Linda Frenette, who begins her tenure on December 15, 2014. She replaces Tommy Broadwell, who has led the Chamber since 2010 and is retiring on December 31st.
Board Chair Lisa Schreiner announced the hiring of Frenette saying, “After an exhaustive search process, we are very pleased to welcome Linda as the new leader of the Chamber. Her passion and experience will help us strengthen programs and expand services to our members and the community of Fuquay-Varina.”
Frenette brings a wealth of experience to her new position. She has served as executive director at a number of other nonprofit organizations in her career, including the Fayetteville Symphony Orchestra and the Roxboro Chamber of Commerce. She earned her B.A.A. from Saginaw Valley State University. She also holds both an Economic Development Practitioner Certificate from the University of Michigan, and a Nonprofit Management Certificate from Duke University.
The Chamber’s Holiday Open House will be held on Thursday, December 18th from 4-6:00 pm at the Chamber office. It would be a great time for Chamber members to drop by and meet Linda in person.
Join us in welcoming Linda to the Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce family!
