Mr. Edward McFarland was the guest of honor at the August Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours. He was awarded the “Excellence in Education” award on August 8, 2013 by Education Council Chair Wanda Denning. What a deserving nominee to receive this honor after serving 18 years as an educator. The presentation took place at the MI Homes/Preston Development model.
On hand to honor Mr. McFarland were approximately 40 guests ~ Town officials, School Board members, Chamber members, government candidates, FVHS teachers, friends, Chamber Board members, Ambassadors and Chamber Staff. Linda Dickert and her staff provided tasty refreshments and beverages.
Mr. McFarland was presented with a Gift Certificate to use at Chamber businesses before he leaves the area. The Fuquay-Varina Chamber of Commerce thanks Mr. McFarland for his 7 years of dedicated service to the Fuquay-Varina High School. We wish him the best and thank everyone who attended last evening.
